About Steve Gleydura
I'm a little like bacon. Whether it's leading a team or editing a story, I make things better. I like to add ideas, ask questions, develop stories and create strategies that improve the final product. While I appreciate successes, I'm never satisfied and always striving for improvement.
After 17+ years as editor of Cleveland Magazine, I know what it takes to create engaging, authoritative content in this fast-paced, convergent media landscape. That means I still love experimenting with fresh ideas, new ways to reach an audience and ambitious stories.
During that time, I've extend Cleveland Magazine's brand digitally with a new website and robust social media channels.
In addition, I have helped develop content strategies and branded content for organizations such as the Cleveland Indians, ERC, Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management and the Republican National Committee.
Got a crazy idea or a great bacon recipe? Let's talk.
What I Do
EDITORIAL CONSULTING & CONTENT
As editor of Cleveland Magazine, I coached writers, nurtured ideas, managed projects, developed stories line by line, and collaborated with art directors to create compelling visual narratives. A versatile writer who has interviewed personalities such as Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor and Iron Chef Michael Symon, I've covered business, sports, dining, culture and more. Whether you're working on narrative nonfiction, developing a magazine pitch or sharpening a personal essay, I can help push your thinking, develop your voice and add depth to your piece.
BRANDED CONTENT
I've enjoyed using the skills I've learned as a magazine editor and content creator to help others better convey their messages, whether it was reimagining the Cleveland Indians' GameFace magazine, collaborating with Destination Cleveland and the Republican National Committee on the 2016 RNC Official Guide or developing a prototype for Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management's Beyond Magazine.
